Sense of Security
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Getting a car insurance is indeed very important in a motorist's life. Getting something like the geico would be an ideal option. But before getting any car insurance, one has to consider a lot of things first. One is the coverage of the insurance. While a car insurance quote may be cheap, it doesn't mean that it has a comprehensive coverage. Another thing to consider is the level of customer service that an online insurance quote can give its client. It could either be though online chat or a toll-free number. Russell is lucky for having costulessins offices in California. Getting in touch with them will not be a problem for him.

BACK TRACK: Boracay Day 3
January 25

Friday. We were pretty excited with this day. Miski naman sa Manila. Friday and Saturday were the best days of the week for almost all of the people I know.

For this day, we started the day with the walang kamatayang walking along the seashore. Hehehehe. We were looking for the Boracay Sand castle but according to the locals there, the sand was demolished for some reason. Walang malinaw na reason eh. May nagreklamo lang daw na resort owner. Ah eh ewan. So what we did instead is indulged ourselves in a very rejuvenating whole body massage. Sa iba, whole body massage is for P800, but we had it for only P350. The only downside though is that you will have the massage along the seashore- where everybody could see you. Ung P800 kasi, may pwesto mismo. But it was good anyway. The masseurs there used coconut oil. Lahat ng lamig sa katawan ko, natanggal. It was really relaxing. After the massage session, Russell indulged himself in a mocha frap by Lonely Planet Cafe. Nung Wednesday nya pa pinupuntirya yun eh. I am not sure if he is pregnant or what. LOL

The massage area. Ahhh, this is soOoO good!!!

My Bebeh enjoying his frap

Since we are feeling a little squeaky with the oil, we decided to go back to the hotel para magbanlaw. It was already 5pm when we decided to have a swim again. We also took some pictures and I think, Russell did a great job in capturing them.

Eat your heart out, Baywatch Hunks!

Susmaryosep! Walang Pakialaman!

Boracay Baby

Ay sus!!!

My Favorite Shot

Come 8pm, we dinned out in one of the food shops in the talipapa. It was real good. After the sumptuous meal, we headed out to BomBom Bar where there were performers. Too bad though that we did not bring out our camera. Russell had red horse while I had a Cosmopolitan. Oh, by the way we smoked too! Hahahaha! that was a first. We decided to pack up at around midnight. Since both Russell and I were drunk, you know what happened next. *wink*

One Horrible Airline Experience
Sunday, January 27, 2008

I am writing this post on a real time basis. We were supposed to be aboard the Cebu Pacific plane right now but Russell and I are in a van terminal on our way to Caticlan instead. Why? Because apparently, we were 10 minutes late off the check-in desk closure. Check-in Desk lang yon at hindi boarding time huh! Damn! We tried to negotiate with Cebu Pacific’s ticketing office personnel but to no avail. Though I blame the super slow van that we took from Caticlan to Kalibo airport (at nasiraan pa kami) but I just feel that CP could have done something to accommodate us. This is not the first time that I had a terrible experience with Cebu Pacific.

About 4 months ago, Russell booked Cebu Pacific (as well) for our honeymoon right after the wedding. There was an error. Instead of booking Dec. 27 to 30th, he booked Dec. 26 till 5:30 pm of Dec. 31st. Eh kamusta naman yon! Haggard! Upon his arrival in the Philippines, I asked him to rebook the flight since I know that rebooking fee is only P300. To my surprise, the customer service rep that Russell talked to told him that he has to pay another P7,600 because of other fees and kung anu-anong kachorvahan. Haller! Magkano lang ung plane ticket naming noh! Wala pang P8,000! Rebooking our flight just because of a simple mistake should not cost another plane ticket (yeah, it seemed to me that we are booking a new set of ticket). With that, I told him that he just have to cancel the booking. So he did cancel it on the first week of November. The CSR told us that the refund of the money, since Bebeh used credit card, would have a turn around period of 60 days. That was actually fine with us because all we wanted is to have our money back. We don’t want to spend money for nothing. We were expecting for the money to be refunded sometime second week of January 2008. Tang ina! It’s already the 27th and yet, no refund! Wow, ang galing noh! Pag refund ng pera, it takes 48 years bago ang ma-process.

Uhaw na ata asawa ko

Anyhow, we initially thought of just having the flight tomorrow. CP only has two flights for today. One is the 10:50am flight (our flight) and the other is at 4:40 (second and last flight for the day). But after so much contemplation, we decided to take SEAIR instead. Why? Because an upgrade for a Cebu Pacific ticket would cost us around P1,600 each (that already P3,200). Then there’s the charge for room rental (P1,500) plus the money we have to spend for dinner again. I was quick to have thought of looking for an Asian Spirit office. There was one in the Kalibo Airport but they don’t accept domestic flights. They just accept Kalibo-Incheon flight. Too bad though that all of their flights are fully booked. So we inquired at SEAIR. The very polite office personnel of SEAIR directed us to their Caticlan office where domestic flights are being taken cared off. Thank God, they also accept credit card. Russell and I no longer have enough cash in our wallet to shoulder another P4,200 (yeah, that’s the price we were quoted with SEAIR for chance passenger).

The van is about to get full now. I am confident that we will have seats with SEAIR since they got the most number of Caticlan-Manila flights. (By the way, we just learned from the airport people that the Caticlan airport only has 3 air carriers: Asian Spirit, SEAIR and Air Philippines...so wala pa ung sinasabi ng Cebu Pacific na may direct flight na sila sa Caticlan. Unless they do have their own airport huh!)

We're boarding SEAIR now. This is only a 35-minute flight from Caticlan to Manila.

Lesson learned: If you are going to ride Cebu Pacific, make sure that you will be at the airport an hour before your flight. Calculate the travel time plus any unfavorable incidence that might cause travel delay. And lastly, if you want to have some peace of mind, DO NOT RIDE CEBU PACIFIC!

Edited (8:26pm) : We just got home. Though we incurred a hefty 4k, I am just happy that we are HOME. Downside though, I have to face 'reality' again by tomorrow. Bummer!

Up Next: Our 3rd and 4th day stories in Bora.

Moving Out
Russell and I have a plan. If I will get pregnant sometime first quarter of the year, we really need to move out of our parent's house. An apartment will be fine for us as of the mean time. To be honest, we haven't decorated his room yet. I don't know. I just don't have the "feel" to do it. But when the time comes that we will have our own love nest, especially when I move to California, I will be more than excited to decorate our home. No fancy decors of furnitures. Just a simple yet modern furnitures just like this furniture in Houston.

Finding THE apartment
Friday, January 25, 2008
Russell is scheduled to fly back in the US on March 24. When he left US about 5 months ago, he left his job and he had to give up his apartment. Finding a job is not that hard for him but finding a good apartment is. Right now, he really has to find an apartment near his workplace. And it should be near to facilities too. Scanning the classified ads one by one can be quite taxing especially if you are living in an urban area. But one can find a good apartment like the Columbus OH Apartments through the most comprehensive apartment guide. Actually, Russell's parents is against the idea of just renting an apartment. They want Russell to buy a house in L.A. If only they know how difficult it is to own one. We don't really want to settle there for the rest of our lives so renting an apartment is the best option for us. Besides, we don't want to have a mortgage loan until we aged 50. LOL We want to enjoy life. While we are building our dreams in the US, we are going to build our house in Cavite. And when it's time for us to go back home, giving up our place, I mean, our apartment will not be that hard.

Back Track: Day 2 at Boracay
We dozed off on our first day here (Wednesday night) quite early. For dinner, we treated ourselves with a dinner buffet in a restaurant somewhere in Station 2. As a result, we woke yesterday early din (5:30am). We start the day with a long walk along the Boracay shores. Imagine naman, from Station 2 to Station 1. Tapos balik ulet ng Station 2 all the way to Station 3. Inabutan na kami ng 9:30. eh kamusta naman yon?!

On top of an islet

Chummyness!

Yon oh!!!

Ayoko nga ng picture sa umaga!!!

Anyhoo, we swere trolling around back to our hotel when we decided (out of the blue) to go island hopping. Yes my dea, after all it's only P600/head included na ang lunch. Ewan ko ba, bibili lang naman kami dapat ng halo-halo eh bakit kami napadpad sa island hopping. I was meaning to take a bath pa naman sana kaso we only have a few more minutes bago umalis ung bangka. Again, we walked from Station 2 to 3 to meet the boatman. There were 16 people in the boat. Puro thunders ang kasama. LOL It was a good thing though kasi walang pasaway na mga teenager o mga nasa early adulthood. Kung hindi, baka nagwating na ako.

Shit, my hat!!!

Di halatang walang ligo

Our first stop: Snorkeling. Russell was the first one to try this out. I was afraid of the waves. Mejo malakas kasi eh. But later on, I tried to take all the courage that I have to join him. Here are few pix of our snorkeling.

Nagpapaka-adik sa isda

Arya!!!!!!

It was pretty tiring and we need some refreshments (we forgot to bring drinks). It was a great thing that there was a local selling buko juice in his mini-bangka. Yes my dear. Nagbebenta si Kuya ng buko sa gitna ng karagatan gamit ang kanyang bangka. Har har har. Hanep noh! We were supposed to go to the crocodile island but since the wave is getting wilder and wilder, the group just decided to have our lunch. The lunch was not not that spectacular pero nabusog (inihaw na bangus, adobong pusit, chicken and pork barbecue, mussels, chopseuy, and watermelon)

The coconut cum boat man

Sarap ng lutong-bahay

After the sumptuous lunch, we then proceeded to the Crystal Cove. There was a P100 entrance fee. Bad trip lang ung wave because we never got the chance na magtampisaw ng tubig sa loob ng cave.

Hello, kamusta naman ang tyan!

Naughty! Naughty!

Welcome to Crystal Cove!

Our last stop was the Balinghai island. As we were heading to that island, the boatman directed to us to Manny Pacquiao's rest house. It is still under construction pero ang bongga nya huh... Back to Balinghai we again did snorkeling and we swam to the max na. We know kasi that we get back to Station 2, we will run out of time to swim. It's getting dark na kasi. around 5:00 na.

Manny Pacquiao's Luxurious Rest House (Mansion)

Ayaw ko magsulat ng I Love You! Russell na lang.

For dinner, we just had yellow cab and isaw. Hehehe. Naghahanap nga ako ng Jollibee kasi gus2 ko sana ng burger steak.

That's all for now. 'Till next update!

Of weddings and favors
Thursday, January 24, 2008
One of my associate QAS is about to get married this May. Because I already had my wedding celebration, she would always ask me about tips on how to plan her dream wedding and what she will give out on her bridal shower. Being a postie exposes me to lots of freebies such as those being offering by Coupon Chief. Getting a f% off on total order from MyWeddingFavor coupons is such a great deal. Likewise, trimming down her weight (though she is not that fat!) as she said, will make her even more confident as she wear her bridal gown. As such, getting into a program that offers discounts like the Medifast coupons is such a tempting deal.

Oh well, I just wish her a stress free wedding!

BACKTRACK: Day 1 at Boracay
Ah huh! We're here na at Bora. Thanks for my cyber-mum Doritos for sponsoring this trip. We were supposed to have our honeymoon last December but as I have said in my previous post, we just had to cancel the it. We're gonna have another trip to Singapore sometime Feb. 2008 (kamusta naman ang leave?!!) We are currently checked in at Boracay Regency. The place is nice. It's in Station 2 facing the beach front. We're gonna stay here from Wednesday till Sunday morning. Sarrraaappp!!!! (Though honestly, I don't like it here anymore... I just feel that Bora is now too exploited. But Russell hasn't been here yet so sige na lang...)

Anyway, we left Manila via Cebu Pacific at around 8:50. At exactly 10am, we were at Kalibo airport na. We had to ride a van from Kalibo to Caticlan. It was P200/person. At Caticlan port, we had to ride a ferry boat. It was a 15-minute ride. To reach station 2, we had to ride a tricyle. Too bad. I wasn't able to capture a picture of it. Kakatuwa lang kasi kaiba ung trike dito compared sa Manila. As soon as we arrived, I'm fainting to death out of hunger so we decided to eat to the nearest resto in place. Nagwawating na ko sa galit kasi nga gutom na. And so we found a French/Asian resturant. Verdict? Di ako nag enjoy! We paid almost P800 for a bottle of san mig light, baked oyster (na wala namang cheese kung di butter lang) and a set meal. GrRrRrR! Mas mabuti pang nag isaw na lang kami. Anyway, it was a leeson learned for me. Wag mashadong matakaw para makahanap ng matinong pagkain. Hahahaha!

So there... I am meaning to share pictures with you kaso si Russell, nag ugaling batugan. Pagtapos mabusog, natulog na.LOL Di ko mahanap kung nasan USB ng cam nya. Hihihi!

Nakakaumay!!!

To drink or not to drink

Chillaxing

Welcome to Kalibo

All Aboard!

I'll try to complete all the tags that was assigned to me by midnight. Till next update!

Earn from every visitor
Sometimes, doing paid opps can be quite taxing. I run out of words to say and stories to share as I don't want to create fictitious characters and stories. But if one can earn as an affiliate, now that's a different kind of story. I have seen other forms of blog money opportunities such as adsense but these kinds of money-making opportunities just don't work for me. I have tried putting some ads in my blog about a few months ago. Unfortunately, even if this blog has (used to be) good traffic, I never get to earn even a penny. Some of these campaigns say that one can earn from every visitor. But really, how many visitors do I need to have in order to earn a dollar? I have been trying to find the add to put some things in these blog, more specifically the PPP banner. Nope. Not the other PPP you know but the PayPerPlay campaign. Yes, I have already signed up for this campaign. They now have over 24,000 core affiliate partners responsible for signing on 9,000,000 websites producing over 1 billion 5 second audio ad plays per month (projected).

The launch date of February 1st is approaching fast so now is a good time to join this community.

Trouble with fixed rate on mortgage
Friday, January 18, 2008
I know a friend who lives in NJ now that is having a hard time keeping with her fix rate mortgage for the house that she recently bought. She got married last year and a couple of months after the wedding, they decided to purchase their house. Now she's telling (over YM) that she is having trouble with the fix rate mortgage. Its' a co-incidence that I stumbled upon Florida Refinance at P3 (You know what I mean! Hehehehe!) At DollarBlvd.com, they let lenders compete to provide one with the best refinancing rate that fits one's needs. Whether you are considering a fixed or adjustable rate mortgage, they can help you find more options -- at no obligation. Now that is something!

Petty Argument
Russell and I just got into a pretty quarrel. If you have been reading my other blog, I have publicly announced how disgusting his friend is. Such a user. But it seems that I can't push Russell to dislike his friend because the jerk has been his friend for 2 decades already. Ok, fine! I'm not saying anything more!

In seach of HappYness
When I watched the Will SMith's movie, I deeply cried. It made me realize that happiness can be found on the amount of money that one has or the company that he is with. It has something to do with achieving your goal, being happy with your life and thanking God for what you had. It also made me realize the value of family amidst the verr busy and competitive business world. One of the great books that tackles happiness is The Sedona Method.
Are you happy? Find out how Mariel Hemingway and Marci Shimoff raised their happiness set point with The Sedona Method. Well, basically The Sedona Method is based on two main premises:

-Thoughts and feelings aren’t facts and they’re not you.
-You can let them go.

At your core you already have the happiness you are seeking and all you need to do is uncover this natural happiness by letting go of the unhappiness or limitation that appears to be covering or obstructing it. This breakthrough also offers exercise that will help you to let go of the unhappy things in your live. I sometimes wonder why many of those ruch people seek the help of shrinks to think that they already have all the things one could ever wished for. But apparently, they are not happy with their lives. Some of them suffers from depression and other health problems. The Spread of Happiness is now worldwide and more and more people are trying out this method in quest of their own happiness.

He hasn't been in the company for a year and yet, they sent him to attend the said conference. He willbe back on Monday. For the mean, I'm staying in our house (Q.C.) to accompany my parents.

Flower Power
Valentines is just around the corner. When Russell was still may boyfriend, he would always have valentine day flower delivery and chocolates too (even if I am not fond of chocolates!) to compensate his absence on this very special day. Of 5 years, I think we only got to spend Valentine's day twice. This year's valentine's day is our first valentine as husband and wife... something new for us. :)

I was really rattled yesterday. Why? A long snake was caught passing the street (just across Caltex and Jollibee). I am really afraid of snake that is why when I saw the reptile, I immediately ran. Bad thing though that I got my ankle sprained. Ahhh... I can hardly walk yesterday. That is why I did not report for work. It's good now though. I think I can make it tonight na.

Caltex Noveleta at night
What kind of snake is this?

Last night was not that busy. But during week ends, you can expect that there are lots of people drinking outside the gas store. Kulang na nga lang banda. hehehehe! Anyway, here is a picture of the snake that was caught by bystanders last night. Ewww... I'm still afraid of snakes!

Hosting Contract
One of the things that I have considered before buying my domain was the hosting service and its contract. I admit that I am not a webby genius and so thinking of many factors such as hosting contract is something that I have to think about over and over again. Currently, I am using a blogger hosting service but I really find it too simple (though easier for me to understand.) Maybe, in the future when I get more familiarize with how hostings ervice works, I might opt for another hosting service provider. Lunarpages Offer for DreamHost Customers is too tempting. Their basic plan just increased and is massive and ideal for bloggers! One can get 15,000GB of Transfer & 1,500GB of storage, free domain name & 10 add-on domains for $6.95 a month + loads more. They have been in business for over 8 years & they provide beginner (LPQuicksite), basic, business, windows, Linux, VPS & dedicated hosting services. Their plans support Ruby on Rails, JSP/ASP & they have PHP5 & MySQL5 servers & all their plans all come with unlimited databases, email accounts, FTP accounts & parked domains. Lunarpages also pays generous affiliate commissions $65 and if you sell one of our dedicated hosting plans thet will pay $180. You can also find that information here: http://www.lunarpages.com/affiliate. On top of that, Lunarpages has created a coupon code just for all its subscribers! Use code DHRefugees to receive $40 off hosting with Lunarpages! We will also add up to 9 months of paid time the customer has spent with their DreamHost contract to all former DreamHost customers! HUbby is the one who is seriously thinking about getting this since he is the more proficient one when it comes to techy stuff liek this. Now that he is also doing sponsored opps, he is into re-designing his website to make it more appealing to the eye of its readers.

I can't think of any decent title for this post so I'll just leave it with "...". For the longest time time in our relationship, it is only yesterday that I appreciated how loud Russelll would snore when he sleeps. I usually get irritated with it (who doesn't?). But yesterday was a different thing. Tuwang-tuwa ako habang pinagmamasdan ko syang matulog.

Last Tuesday was Nany Pene's (Rusell grandma-mother side) 4th death anniversary. I came home at around 7:30 from my graveyard. I dropped by at Caltex since he manned the store Monday night. We both came home at around 8:30 as he had to finish some reprots before going gome. We didn't doze off instantly as we fooled around with the utots and kulangots (as always). I think it's about 11:00 am when we finally fell asleep. We woke up at around 2pm. so all we had is just 3 hours of sleep. I needed to go to Metrobank as 2 of my credits are already due on that day. Metrobank's teller service is the worst service I have experience so far. (Read the post about it here.). We arrived at Metrobank Cavite City around 2:30 and left around 4:00. We initially thought that we will go home so that we would just go along with my in-laws. Ayaw ni Russell magdrive ng MB 100 van..mashado daw malaki. Unfortunately, Mama Luvie texted him that they are already on the cemetery. He had no other choice but to the drive the van all the way to the cemeteray. When we got there, we were welcomed with lotsa food. It was a "pigging out" celebration. We stayed there for only 2 hours and we went back home again to steal an hour of nap.

At around 8pm, he woke up because he had to take over Caltex's night shift. I didn't go with him (something that is very unusual) because I was really sleepy at that time. I just told him that I would join him around midnight. I though I'm gonna be awake for a longer period of time. But I am wrong. After 2 hours of manning the gas store, Russell fetched me home. Di ko kinaya ang puyat. He stayed there until 8am. In short, it was like a 12-hour shift. Mas grabe pa sa work ko because I only have 8 hours (with 1 hour break) work.

Anyway, we got home at around 8:30. As usual, kulitan blues pa rin. It was about 10am today when I suddenly felt hungry. I was craving for Jolllibee's nachos overload. Though Russell is too tired to go outside, he just phoned Caltex people and they had it delivered to our home. I was so happy. Talagang hindi nya ako pinapabayaan. I really feel pampered.

When the food arrived, I thought he is still awake. To my surprise, he is already snoring. I didn't bother waking him up since I know that he is too puyat. While I'm enjoying my nachos, I looked at his face, kiss the tip of his nose and brushed his hair with my fingers. Then I whispered "I love you...". I thought I woke up him as he looked at me in the eye. Pero naalimpungatan lang yata. He went back to sleep again. While looking at his face, I realized how lucky I am for marrying a guy like him. He didn't have to help their family business but he opted to do it. I adore him. I embrace all the flaws that he has. He is not perfect though. But he is too damn right for me.

We woke up late tonight, around 6:30 na. I took a bath first. Hindi ko na sya ginising because he seems to enjoy his good sleep. After taking a bath, that's the time that I told him "Asawa ko, gising na po...." I didn't want to go trhough all the details that happened at that time. One thing though, he acted as if I'm pregnant. He said "Oh dahan-dahan ka, baka mapano si baby!" to which I responded "Tukmol ka, ano yan..baby tae! Tae lang laman ng tyan ko oy!" LOL He just smiled. I can tell that his smile was something different. I know how much he wants to have a baby. I just told him though that we had to enjoy each other's company first before having a child.

Ahh... I don't know how to end this post. All I know is that I have married the right person at the right time for the right reason.

Audio Ads
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
I am very much exposed to web advertisements such as the Google adsense. The computation of how one can earn through this kind of advertisement is quite tedious. I thought that by simply generating traffic on a website/blog, an author could earn from it 100% I have tried putting this kind of advertisement before but it just didn't work for me. As a blogger who constantly do blog hopping, I stumbled upon Eli's post on Net Audio Ads PayPerPlay click. Immediately, I tried to search for it and read what is all about because this is something new for me, I guess.

With Net Audio Ads, publishers (website owners) will earn revenue on 100% of their traffic... no clicks necessary!

The System is a way for advertisers (Like Harley Davidson or Taco Bell) to serve a 5 second audio advertisement to website visitors. It is a way for advertisers to target their 5 second audio ad to specific interests, demographics and geographic locations.

NetAudioAds™ is not new, it has been running for 2 ½ years, has over 66,000 advertisers and over 550,000 websites responsible for up to 43 million streams (impressions) of advertisers' 5 second audio ads on a monthly basis.

Ending? I have signed up for this. I am just yet to put the code in this blog. :)

I just posted a blogthing test pertaining to what lies beneath my name. I admit, I am surprised. Bloggers are now calling me THERESA instead of THET (which kind of freaks me.) Di ata ako sanay... Theresa-- so girly. Eeek!

My real name is THERESA
Monday, January 14, 2008
My real name is Theresa.

What Theresa Means

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

I'm the star of the show!
I have always been a fan of commentary shows where views and opinions of the commentators are not bounded by any network policies. As I searched the net, I found YawpBoxTV. YawpBoxTV is a 30 minute weekly "magazine style" show, filmed before a live studio audience in Dallas, Texas. YawpBox will be the first television show where the content is completely generated by the users of a social networking site. I have seen the infamous introduction video or Lex and Terry where they gave emphasis that on this show, the viewers or users, if I may say will be the star of the show. Basically, they will give out challenges/task that user need to do . In turn, participants will give their best videos. Thus, this program will bring out the creativity in oneself. Have you ever imagine yourself capturing extra-odinary videos? I mean, we have seen quite a number of amazing videos on the television or even on the internet but having yourself video it is something different. Besides just imagine how fun it is if your capyured video will reach millions of audience. Going back to the website, I tried browsing the Lex and Terry challenge page and I am really amazed with the videos that have been uploaded there. One of the challenges that I got hooked is the "Ever made healines? Give us the scoop." I'm sure the users who uploaded those videos felt that they were E.T. 'insiders'. Hahahaha! Such a great experience. I hope I can upload one in the future!

PR Update
Sunday, January 13, 2008
Ok. There has been another PR update. Unlike before, I no longer got excited about this, not because my blog still has PR 0 but rather, I feel that google is just playing around with paid bloggers. This blog used to have a glorious PR 4 only to be disappointed because after 2 weeks, it was dragged down to a PR 2 before flunking a PR 0. Oh well, I'm happy for those people who got their blogs with PR score. I just hope that they won't get the same fate as I did with this PR update.

Earn from every visitor
One of the very first few things I have learned about monetizing your blog is how to earn from every visitor in your site. Initially, I just signed up to various kinds of ways of monetizing your blog without really realizing how I could maximize or how I earn just by having visitors in my blog. But thanks to my fellow bloggers who have posted their thoughts and ideas as I can now somehow understand the tricks of the trade. While doing blog hopping, I was introduced with various ways on how to earn extra moolah by just surfing the net. One of them is through ad sense. But After a while, I have lost my passion with this thing. I don't know. Maybe because it's been 2 months already since I signed up for this money making site but up until this time, I haven't received even a penny from them. But http://audioadhosting.com is something different. Imagine if google had paid you to find web sites for ad sense ads. How many do you think you would have enrolled? This is even better! Revolutionary new advertising method backed by one of the top 5 search engines. Each visitor to your website, blog etc will hear only 1 five second ad for national companies like HBO, Taco Bell etc. They will receive a commission and so will you. Bring your own affiliates and earn from them as well. It is free for everyone and great training is provided.

Rugby or Soccer?
I really didn't know what Rugby is until one time, while tuning in to ESPN, I was able to watch a game of it (albeit, it was not live). I was wondering if rugby is just the same as football so out of curiosity, I searched it in Google.

Rugby is a sport that started in 1823 when a boy in Ruby, England picked up and ran with the ball in a game of football, or soccer as it is called in the USA. The game developed as more English schools and universities began to play this interesting new sport. In 1871 the English Ruby Union was formed to standardize the rules and regulations of rugby. While people in Europe are religiously tuning in to rugby updates, some of them just don't have the time to watch it in the stadium. That is why online rugby games is really something for them. Of course, there are quite a number of Rugby websites but RBS6 is just the most comprehensive list of tournament news, fixtures and results, as well as interactive games and podcasts section for six nations fans (England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Wales). Having this site is really helpful for rugby fanatics.

CSkills
Friday, January 11, 2008
I used to have a QAS who, for the entire duration of her employment was reviewing her exams for Architecture. She belongs to a family of architect and civil engineers so I guess building homes and tall building runs in her blood. Her father used to work in the Middle East as a senior CE before he started putting up his own firm. But before doing so, the father has to undergo a lot of trainings first. I admit I don't have the proper knowledge when it comes to constructions of building but I have always been fascinated about it. Being an internet geek, I am exposed to various information to almost everything such as CSkills. CSkills is a partner of the sector skills council for construction. The site provides information for people employed in or around the construction industry on topics including how to become certified in your trade by 2010, the latest health and safety legislation, and career development within the industry.

Useless Eyeglasses
A week before Russell's birthday last December, I bought him an Oakley eye glasses in Executive Optical in SM Bacoor. He has been complaining about the scratches on his old eye glasses that is why I bought him a new pair. He used to have the same frame as this:

But now, he has something like this:

It was quite expensive though (roughly P8,000). I thought I could have save some moolah had we bought a pair of eye glasses in Quiapo. To my dismay, just only a few days after buying those eye glasses, the frame has been deformed. Dang! It was a total bummer. If I had only known the Great Discovery: www.ZenniOptical.com, I would have been happier. This site offers a huge selection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic)lens, tinted suglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. The Secret to Zenni’s Low Prices is that they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget. I am not sure if we are going to have his eye glasses fixed or will buy online when he gets back to U.S.

Gaining Weight
Thursday, January 10, 2008
I've been married for just (almost) a month now. People in the office notice that I am gaining weight (though I look younger and more refreshed). But really, I can lose and gain weight instantly. During my wedding I lost an inch on my waistline because of the last-minute stress (3 days). Some of our wedding pictures can attest to that. But now, I gained what I have lost last month. Anyhoo, I know another supervisor in the office (operations dept.) who has tried using pills just to lose wight. Unfortunately, that didn't work. But with the emergence of technology, lap band surgarland of the LAP-BAND System is the safest, proven weight-loss surgery available today and it is the only weight-loss surgery that is completely reversible and adjustable – for life.
