I had my first credit card when I was 21. The amount given to me by the credit card company, (which by the way, I am very loyal with) was a humble P35,000. I know it's quite low compared to others but I am very proud of it since it is MY credit card, not an extension of my parents'. Currently, I am maintaining 4 credit cards. When I had my first credit card, I was shopping like mad and I wasn't really aware that I have already reached my maximum credit limit. It was a save-by-the-bell situation that my Ate Grace just came from abroad and she had asked her credit card company to make a balance transfers of all my expenses to her two credit cards. I know, I have been a negligent credit card user back then. But after a couple of years, I have also matured enough to know the possible consequence of having bad credit. So right now, instead of me paying these credit card companies every time I use their plastic, it's them who is paying me to use their service through credit cards with cash back. I have a QA who is a first-time credit card holder. He's having this tendency to abuse his purchasing power when using his credit card. Luckily though, he is now realizing that having credit card does not mean he is rich. Rather, her should be financially responsible to know his purchasing capability. Labels: benjamin talks, finance |
