When we were still living in Caloocan, my mom used to own a small boutique where RTWs, shoes, accessories, and even perfumes are being sold. Aside from the fact that she is enjoying this little "hobby", she earns some extra cash and that helped us with our monthly expenses. Before this small boutique, she was just a stay-at-home wife with nothing to do but to take care of me together with the rest of my siblings. When business became so lucrative, I ended up going with her as we go to Divisoria and Baclaran to order loads of goodies. Our van would be filled with various products. As we are ordering in bulk, wholesale clothing was very beneficial to us. Aside from the fact that we save on gas on our trips, the price of the merchandise we are purchasing is different as compared to retail price. The boutique is now gone. Aside from the fact that we no longer have a "student" in the family (which is one of the reason why mom tried to keep that store), the place of her shop is just too far from where we are living now. Mom is too old for long travel. But she is complaining! She's getting bored. Now all of us (siblings) are thinking of ways to keep my mom entertained. Maybe a sari-sari store in our village junction? Hmmm.... We'll see. Labels: business matters, SP |
