As I have posted before, I am now into selling some PX items (good thing since I am going to be on a 2-month maternity leave). I started the business with few team members who purchased Victoria's secret and Old Navy items. Now my market seems to be growing as I have just established my online store through the multiply account.
Yesterday, hubby sent me pictures of the goods he received, which I purchased about a week ago. Actually madami pang kulang. Wala pa yung bulk orders from Victoria's Secret and Old Navy. Few perfumes have not yet arrived din. Pero seeing the items I have ordered arrived, mejo nakakatuwa. I know na magiging busy-busyhan ako in my entire maternity leave since aside from taking care of Terrence, I'll do some paid posts pa rin from time to time.
Yesterday, bro texted me asking how much does a 100 ml Bulgari BLV for men costs. I told him it's for P2,200. He was surprised to know that since malls (Trinoma ,SM department stores and other malls) sell the same item for a whoOooping P4,000++ . Victoria's Secret Products (lotions and mist) are being sold for P600+ each while I sell it for only P450 (may discount pa if bought in 3). A lot of my friends are asking why my merchandise are being sold cheaper than malls and other multiply sellers, I say it upfront that I do not impose 100% mark. Only 25%. Intsik eh. Konti tubo, dami benta. LOL

| Power of Advertising |
|
I have seen quite a number of sellers not just in ebay but also in multiply that advertises directly. I am wondering how Direct Response Advertising can really help a business.
The way advertising works is not so transparent after all. Advertising does have some sort of hidden power which enables it to influence us without our realising it. The Hidden Power of Advertising presents a radical new challenge to traditional thinking about the way consumers interact with and process brand communication. Advertising can be found anywhere around us wheather we realize or not.And the example is what we saw in television everyday during watching television,in the radio, newspaper, notice board and others. It can also be found in the internet, just like www.accordgroup.co.uk. In virtual world especially when we say about internet it is also not exceptional from called as part of advertising.Today I want to focus on internet advertising. First of all,may I ask you one question? Are you internet businessman or business woman? If you are them let me tell you about the power of advertising.Internet advertising or marketing play a main role in ensuring your internet business is successful.True or not?The answer is absolutely correct.1000% true.I repeat again that internet marketing is play a main role in ensuring your internet business is successful. | Time-Out: Victoria's Secret on Sale |
| Thursday, September 04, 2008 |
I'll be gone for a while but I'm gonna update all my blogs (READ: non paid posts) of what is happening to me. I will get ample time by then to make chismis of what is happening in my buhay nanay life. I decided to put since hubby is sending his quarterly package for us and Baby Terrence and I got nothing to do during my 2-month maternity leave... Though I know that taking care of Baby T would consume much of my time, I still want to delve into something lucrative. Ayokong naka tengga ng matagal eh. So I hope you can help me out on this one.
I am selling Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy and some branded perfumes. I have just opened my multiply store. I was actually surprised to see that some of those multiply sellers impose mark up on some of their products as much as 100% or. What I mean is that when a product can be purchased in a US store by P2,000, ibebenta ng P4,000. Katarantaduhan naman di ba? I mean of course, there will be state taxes and shipping fee kaso sobrang OA naman yata kung ganun. Oh well, siguro kasi bread and butter talaga nila ung pagbebenta ng PX goods and with the time they are dedicating sa ganung business, talagang dapat lang na malaki din ang mark up..anyhoo, here are some of the items that I sell po in my multiply account.

| Monday, July 14, 2008 |
Hubby's package has already arrived. Nakakaloka lang ang dami ng diapers. He bought two boxes (243 pcs/box) kasi of new born diapers. I'm trying to calculate kung ilang diapers kaya ang mauubos in 3 months. Kasi up to 3 months naman ang category ng newborn di ba? Feeling ko sobra-sobra yung diapers. Hubby shipped two huge (specially made) boxes where the rims for their new 4WD car can fit. Tapos sinaksakan na lang nila ng kung anu-anong items. Grabe ang galing magbagahe. Parang pwedeng pagkasyahin family of 5 people. LOL
The rims
Thanks to Tita Ems for these cute baby clothes
Buti na lang safe ung color ng items...

| Business Web Conferencing |
| Sunday, March 30, 2008 |
When I first saw myself in a wide screen plasma TV for a web conferencing with my boss(es)from Canada, I first thought of myself as one of the cast of the very famous 24. It was like I am a Michelle Dessler talking to a Jack Bauer about national security. LOL I know it's silly of me to think of that but hey! That was my first time to be in a business web conferencing. I was really amaze how technology helps various business sectors progress and how it eases the way people do "business." Web conferencing was first introduced to us, supervisors and managers. But now, we are now using it for training purposes. It really helps trainees and trainers get remote support through remote access. It makes the training class more interactive. Training for me used to be a boring activity as we only use phone conferencing. We don't see how our boss/ trainers look like and we don't see their facial expressions every time we get to answer a training activity. I mean, I am not really good at deciphering voice. You know- when a person says something but the facial expression especially the eyes are saying differently. It was like talking to a "ghost." LOL Labels: business matters |

| Business Thank You Cards |
| Tuesday, March 25, 2008 |
Mother-in-law just opened a mini-grocery somewhere in Rosario, Cavite. The building used to be a stockroom for their appliance center business. I am not sure if they already had this new business blessed by a priest but as early as this time, mom is already asking me about Business Thank You Cards. She wants it to be personalized just like what we had on our wedding. She wanted to have it made simple though just like this one: As she said, a thank you card need not to be that fabulous. What is important is that a business man is able to show appreciation and genuine gratitude through a simple "Thank You"for the professional relationships that you thankfully support and hold in highest regard. Business thank you cards are a telling expression of professional gratitude, thankfulness, and loyalty. We have sorted National Book Store but we didn't find any business thank you card that resembles the one above. Searching the internet, CardsDirect offers customization services to its clients. As such, you can be sure that your thank you cards will be personalized. CardsDirect will professionally print your company name or message inside, print your return address on the envelope flap, even business logos and artwork. What is more tempting is they offer free ground shipping on all orders. I just presented this website to her. I am not sure though if mother feels comfortable ordering online. | Small Business Funding |
| Saturday, February 16, 2008 |
When Mom set-up her own small-scale business some 20 years ago, she had to look for a bank institution to help her gain the capital that she needed. Good thing that she got great credit history so applying for a loan wasn't that difficult for her. As the economic condition gets more and more critical, putting up a business and getting small business funding are no longer as easy as before. Setting up a business in the United States needs a lot of consideration. One big factor to consider is the amount of capital that one has to invest. Gearing up a business is just like a gamble. If you are a risk taker and would want to have more capital so that you can maximize the potential of your business, you will start thinking about small business funding. One good option for this is the AFSLoans. Unlike its Competitors, AFSLoans has "No ApplicationFee". Some of these small business funding companies even have hidden charges which might give you a heart attack after after applying and having approved. LOL If you are going to loan between 10K- $150K, you can be assured that your will get results with 24 - 48 Hour Approvals. In addition, AFSLoans also offers some of the lowest interest rates for unsecured loans in the country. This is not bad at all, isn't it? Labels: business matters, finance, SR |

| Creating a Good Website |
| Tuesday, February 05, 2008 |
When I met my videographer last Sunday to get the raw photos from our wedding (yes, we had a photo-video team all in one), he mentioned that his website wil be soon up and running. He has already registered to domain hosting and he is just looking for website design companies so that his website will look even more professional. He knows that hiring one an be too costly but what the heck. Having a website is now really significant in building impression. This is the haven where prospective clients can see his works. So the quality of the website design should be excellent. He has to set proper exepctations though in order for the website builders to come up with the best website design they could offer. I am too is thinking of hiring a professional website designer but not now. Maybe in 5 years. When Russell and I put up our own wedding coordination and photography business. | More Savings on Wholesale |
| Sunday, January 06, 2008 |
When we were still living in Caloocan, my mom used to own a small boutique where RTWs, shoes, accessories, and even perfumes are being sold. Aside from the fact that she is enjoying this little "hobby", she earns some extra cash and that helped us with our monthly expenses. Before this small boutique, she was just a stay-at-home wife with nothing to do but to take care of me together with the rest of my siblings. When business became so lucrative, I ended up going with her as we go to Divisoria and Baclaran to order loads of goodies. Our van would be filled with various products. As we are ordering in bulk, wholesale clothing was very beneficial to us. Aside from the fact that we save on gas on our trips, the price of the merchandise we are purchasing is different as compared to retail price. The boutique is now gone. Aside from the fact that we no longer have a "student" in the family (which is one of the reason why mom tried to keep that store), the place of her shop is just too far from where we are living now. Mom is too old for long travel. But she is complaining! She's getting bored. Now all of us (siblings) are thinking of ways to keep my mom entertained. Maybe a sari-sari store in our village junction? Hmmm.... We'll see. Labels: business matters, SP |

| Transition in the company |
| Wednesday, December 26, 2007 |
Our company has just been merged with another European company. I can't say if it's good news to us but all I can say is that, I have already lost my passion towards what is happening in the four corners of our office. We were supposed to get profit sharing but due to some reason, it's now 'gone with the wind.' I just hope that the marketing people could find better ways of improving our marketing platform. Maybe they should try visiting this website: http://www.juicemetriqs.comJuice Media Worldwide, LLC, a leading provider of on‐demand Marketing 2.0 software services and solutions has moved to new San Diego headquarters at 591 Camino de la Reina on the 11th floor of the prominent Valley Corporate Center building. Located just 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, the nearly 4,000 square foot state‐of‐the‐art offices are double the size of the previous headquarters. The new office equips Juice Media with enough space for the company to grow its software development and client management staff by an additional 50 percent in 2008. “Managing rapid growth is always a challenge for successful start‐ups. We evaluated several options for new offices to accommodate our growth and Valley Corporate Center was an ideal location for us,” said Rick Enrico, CEO, Juice Media Worldwide, LLC. ”The office tower’s expansive features and centralized location made it a great solution for our needs as we expand our staff and client roster.” Juice Media employees have access to a number of benefits with the move including an on‐site deli, gym, ocean view offices, and a park next door. The additional meeting space also enables Juice Media to develop even stronger relationships with its clients with more frequent and productive onsite meetings. | Stretching Your Business Financial Capacity |
| Tuesday, December 11, 2007 |
When I was still in grade school, my mom used to own a shop that sells RTWs, shoes and other apparel items. As she tries to build the shop (we own the lot by the way), she opted to have Small Business Loan through the cooperative organization, of which she was a member. She could have ran to other small business financing services but she's afraid that the interest rates for the small business loans might be too high. After getting the money that she needed, she build a small 'boutique' for her business. She ran a few gimmicks on her shop and the income was quite good. Now that we no longer have a student in the family, she just had this shop converted into a 2-door apartment. It's time for her to experience the fruit of her hard work. :) Labels: business matters, finance |

| Tracking Your Lead and Actual Revenue |
| Friday, November 09, 2007 |
I was once a part of an outsource elite sales force working for Dell computers. Being in a sales division of the call center industry, tracking my sales is really tough, it's very competitive. I didn't know either how my former call center employer managed to keep track the sales of some 500 agents for particular campaign. I know that all call centers use CRM (customer relationship management) software. I just don't know (a lot) about how CRM software can help companies can track leads and actual revenues. Getting a CRM software can be really quite expensive. That is why knowing the CRM features is really a must so just you know if you are getting what you are ought to get with what you are paying. | Just When You Need it Most |
| Wednesday, October 31, 2007 |
One of my gay QAS whom I have mentioned in this blog before would always resort to having cash advance once every other pay day. He, she or whatever gender you might want to call a gay, is living a lavish life that he soemtimes forget to save for the rainy days. I remember when the first time that he acquired a Citibank credit card, he used almost P12,000. That is more than we he earns every pay day. He is an impulsive shopper if I may say. I advised not to bring in any credit card during work days and bring only P300 every day.In order to save money, I taught how to ride a bus instead of taking a cab everyday. He now also brings packed lunch isntead of going out to fast food chains everyday. I am not saying that getting cash advance is bad. I don't think that having credit is bad. A credit only gets bad when you don't know how to manage your fiannces. A creidt only gets bad when you don'tpay in time and let back institions fine you with allthose finance charges. In times of raining days where liquid cash is needed, having emergency cash loans such as pay day loans is another good option. The convenience of having the emergency funds deposited right into an account is really awesome. Me? I never had any casg advance in any of my credit card. But who knows,I might need oen especially when I get to be with Russell in L.A. Labels: benjamin talks, business matters |

| Building your own online store |
| Wednesday, September 26, 2007 |
James B. aka "Shiela" (LOL) has been running his (her?) family chocolate business for quite some time now. He would always go back and forth to Baguio just to follow up on some business associates. He has also build a website for this business (I just can't remember the webby address though) and I was quite impressed with what I saw it. The only downside that I noticed was the ordering process. The website do not have an online shopping cart so ordering can only be done through SMS or though fax/landline. For a business that caters customers all over the Philippines (or even worlwide), having a reliable and affordable shopping cart software is a must. I remember that I once tried ordering online a flower bouquet for my Mama Luvie for her birthday last year, but as I was about to check out, the site just went down. I am not sure if it's really the website or if it's the shopping cart software that went down. I thought the order I tried to put in my cart was saved but to my dismay, it wasn't! I got pissed and decided to just buy the bouquet myself. So such case, it is very important for a businessman to have somebody to call. Having a 24/7 technical support gets your online store always up and running. Apart from this, the cost of getting a shopping cart software also has to be considered. You have to check and review the full specificationsof a software first to know if you are getting what is worth your money. Just what I have blogged before when I first mentioned that Russ and I are thinking of building our own myayala.com type of online business, Ashop Commerce offers the best package. Why not visit the site and see it for yourself? Labels: benjamin talks, business matters |

| Russell and Thet goes Lucrative |
| Wednesday, July 25, 2007 |
For a while, Russell and I have have been thinking of putting an online business. You could just imagine how much we have already spent for those cakes, flowers and stuffed toys. Through the course of our 5 year-long distance relationship, Russell has sent me quite a number of these things (trying to make up for his absence). How did he send me this? Through online shopping.
With our experience, Russell and I have been thinking of putting up an online store specifically designed to those Filipinos abroad who want to send some things here in the Philippines ranging from balloons, cakes, flowers, shirts and even animal (champion breed of dogs and cats). But before going over ahead, we were prompted with a question of: how are we going to have an online shopping cart?
This is where the reliability and affordability of ecommerce software will take place. Ashop Commerce provides the most-up-to-date and relevant advice a neophyte businessman (like Russ) would need. Sure, we are not not IT-challenged but we are not professional enough either to install shopping cart software like this. Good thing though that Ashop is a web-based program so no installation is really needed. There are lots of things that we are considering before choosing the best software we could use but one of the major qualifiers we are considering is of course, the cost of having an online shopping cart software. Well, Ashop provides the all-in-one solution as it is not just affordable, we could also have some test-runs to see for ourselves if Ashop is user-friendly. On top of these, Ashop is also securely hosted, with free emails, 128 bit SSL check-out security, design services, web promotion services, multiple nightly back ups and most importantly, it has full fraud alerts. Dependability is also a big factor so we need to be sure that the online shopping cart has a guaranteed 99.8% up time.
Oh well, as of this time, things will just in our organizer but after our wedding, we will certainly move forward and visit the Ashop website again.
