It took me a while before I finally decided to get my own domain. Though I am not that technology challenged, the term web hosting is alien to me. Per wikipedia, web hosting is defined as a type of internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the world wide web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity typically in a data center Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. Wheew! There's a lot of jargon in the definition. I am now thinking that I am a website-challenged person. LOL Anyhoo, since I only have a pernal web page, I opted to have a single page hosting. I admit, I didn't do enough research when I acquired web hosting service.
