| RSS or Atom Feed? |

I've been researching the net and trying soOoOOoo hard what does syndication means and how it could help my log. Then I came across RSS and Atom Feed. No matter how simple the authors explained the many ways I could I create my own feed, I guess my brain cells are just too lazy to absorb all the techy things these authors are discussing. Talk about manic Monday.
Paging those IT geek and techno savy people: Can you explain to me in a lay man's term what is this for? How could I create one? Or shamelessly I would ask, would you care creating one for me?

Ako recently ko lang din nalaman yang RSS subscription na yan eh.. sa Feedburner ako gumawa ng account..
Ang primary advantage nyan, para sakin ha, instead na pumunta pa ko sa mga website na regular kong pinupuntahan, sa RSS/feed reader nalang (in my case Thunderbird reader gamit ko, pwede din naman reader.google.com).. nag sa-subscribe lang ako sa RSS feed ng favorite blog ko, then sa reader ko na sila binabasa, no need to open up all their blogs.. convenient diba? isang location lang para sa lahat.. parang emails...
(pero sayo pinupuntahan ko pa, hehehe, wala ka pa nga RSS eh.. hehehe)

yan po yung tutulong sa mga regular visitors mo para maging updated sila sa mga recent posts mo po ..
pag nagsubscribe po sila sa FEEDS mo, a tab will appear in their bookmarks that will contain the recent entries in your blog .. ^^,

hi sis! eto yung pagkakaintindi ko and kung pano ko siya ginagamit.
RSS - ex. veoh/ youtube may gusto akong video, magsusubscribe ako dun sa isang subscriber. pag-niclick ko yung RSS na usually makikita sa taas kasama ng mga tools mo, automatic kang i-u-update kung may bagong video na inupload yung subscriber mo.
Kung sa blog naman i-a-apply, kung mag-s-subscribe ka sa isang blogger (kunyari nagutuhan mo yung mga posts niya). pag niclick mo yung RSS, i-u-update ka kung anung yung mga latest posts nung subscriber/blogger na gusto mo.
Yung atom feeds di ako sure kung anu yun. Sa Blogger ko lang nakita yun.

sis technically ang rss ay "Really Simple Syndication", ito ay isang format ng web feed. Ang isa pang format ay ang tinatawag na ATOM.
Ang mga web feeds ay ang pinaka bagong way sa internet para maglabas ng content ang isang site.
since out of the way na ang technicality na yan, maliban sa pag gawa ng feeds para sa site mo: tulad ng nasabi nila elizar at ch13f, pwede kang magsubscribe sa feeds ng mga trips mong dalawin na mga websites (kung may feeds sila).
pwedeng ilagay mo sa bookmark toolbar mo, o sa kahit anong newsreader or rss reader.
Ang pinaka masusuggest kong newsreader ay ang reader.google.com pero marami dyan online and offline newsreader. add ka lang ng add tapos pag may bago silang post, pwedeng dun mo na lang basahin at saka ka lang dadalaw sa website nila pag may iba ka pang babasahin o magcocomment ka.
may ilang feeds na ang website mo. napansin mo ba sis? hehehe

Hello, Halos walang pinagkaiba naman ang RSS at Atom. Pero mas bagong version lang ang RSS feed kaya mas malaki yung data na dinidisplay nya. Parang Windows 98 ang Atom tapos Windows XP naman ang RSS.

RSS ang pina the best para sa akin kasi ito ang laging ginagamit ng mga known websites.
