I can't think of any decent title for this post so I'll just leave it with "...". For the longest time time in our relationship, it is only yesterday that I appreciated how loud Russelll would snore when he sleeps. I usually get irritated with it (who doesn't?). But yesterday was a different thing. Tuwang-tuwa ako habang pinagmamasdan ko syang matulog.

Last Tuesday was Nany Pene's (Rusell grandma-mother side) 4th death anniversary. I came home at around 7:30 from my graveyard. I dropped by at Caltex since he manned the store Monday night. We both came home at around 8:30 as he had to finish some reprots before going gome. We didn't doze off instantly as we fooled around with the utots and kulangots (as always). I think it's about 11:00 am when we finally fell asleep. We woke up at around 2pm. so all we had is just 3 hours of sleep. I needed to go to Metrobank as 2 of my credits are already due on that day. Metrobank's teller service is the worst service I have experience so far. (Read the post about it here.). We arrived at Metrobank Cavite City around 2:30 and left around 4:00. We initially thought that we will go home so that we would just go along with my in-laws. Ayaw ni Russell magdrive ng MB 100 van..mashado daw malaki. Unfortunately, Mama Luvie texted him that they are already on the cemetery. He had no other choice but to the drive the van all the way to the cemeteray. When we got there, we were welcomed with lotsa food. It was a "pigging out" celebration. We stayed there for only 2 hours and we went back home again to steal an hour of nap.

At around 8pm, he woke up because he had to take over Caltex's night shift. I didn't go with him (something that is very unusual) because I was really sleepy at that time. I just told him that I would join him around midnight. I though I'm gonna be awake for a longer period of time. But I am wrong. After 2 hours of manning the gas store, Russell fetched me home. Di ko kinaya ang puyat. He stayed there until 8am. In short, it was like a 12-hour shift. Mas grabe pa sa work ko because I only have 8 hours (with 1 hour break) work.

Anyway, we got home at around 8:30. As usual, kulitan blues pa rin. It was about 10am today when I suddenly felt hungry. I was craving for Jolllibee's nachos overload. Though Russell is too tired to go outside, he just phoned Caltex people and they had it delivered to our home. I was so happy. Talagang hindi nya ako pinapabayaan. I really feel pampered.

When the food arrived, I thought he is still awake. To my surprise, he is already snoring. I didn't bother waking him up since I know that he is too puyat. While I'm enjoying my nachos, I looked at his face, kiss the tip of his nose and brushed his hair with my fingers. Then I whispered "I love you...". I thought I woke up him as he looked at me in the eye. Pero naalimpungatan lang yata. He went back to sleep again. While looking at his face, I realized how lucky I am for marrying a guy like him. He didn't have to help their family business but he opted to do it. I adore him. I embrace all the flaws that he has. He is not perfect though. But he is too damn right for me.

We woke up late tonight, around 6:30 na. I took a bath first. Hindi ko na sya ginising because he seems to enjoy his good sleep. After taking a bath, that's the time that I told him "Asawa ko, gising na po...." I didn't want to go trhough all the details that happened at that time. One thing though, he acted as if I'm pregnant. He said "Oh dahan-dahan ka, baka mapano si baby!" to which I responded "Tukmol ka, ano yan..baby tae! Tae lang laman ng tyan ko oy!" LOL He just smiled. I can tell that his smile was something different. I know how much he wants to have a baby. I just told him though that we had to enjoy each other's company first before having a child.

Ahh... I don't know how to end this post. All I know is that I have married the right person at the right time for the right reason.

I've been bugging Russell to create a website for me, I mean for us. I wanted to have a header that depicts our wacky personality. He, on the other hand, wants to have our wedding portrait as the header picture. Conflict of preference? I don't know. He just finished doing the place cards for our godparents/guests and monogram for our invites/souvenir. Now, I'm beginning to be a pest to him as I make kulit to him that he should start reviving his blog so that he can earn some extra cash too while he is not doing anything during his 5-month stay here in the Philippines.

But he is ignoring me!!!! AghHhHhHhH!!! He is busy doing online games with his PS3 and he doesn't even give me a glance! As early as now, I am experiencing the what they say "adjustment period." I just can't help it! When I want to get something done, I'll make sure that it gets done the soonest time possible. Procrastination is not an option. But Russell? He doesn't have the sense of urgency. He wants to get things done IN HIS TIME.

What a bummer!

The Great Flirt
Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Just last week, Russell and I had a serious yet a funny conversation that some of my friends don’t even believe that such conversation is just "fine" with me.

Here is the thing: I asked Russell if he didn’t have any flings or any one-night stand experience in the entire 5-year course of relationship. I can no longer remember what triggered me to engage in this kind conversation but I guess, the only rational reason I could think of is I want us to have a fresh start as we begin a new life together. In other words, I want him to share me his deep dark secrets the same way that I will reveal to him any flirting moments that I did (well, if there is any..LOL)

At first, he was quite hesitant over admitting to me that he had some "friendly dates" especially during those times that we are heading the rough roads in our relationship. But when I told him that it’s fine with me and I can totally understand it (since we are dealing with alonger distance relationships and I just can give him some of his needs), he revealed not just one but 4 flings! LOL I believe that he is nice and contrary to what most people believe on the nice guy syndrome, he didn’t finish last. In fact, he is the best candidate as the pick up artist especially when girls talk to him over chat room. Him, as Mr. Nice Guy is something new to me because we met each other in a not so ideal way. I guess he uses different styles of how to meet women, something which my brother ahs to learn (oOoOpps, I forgot. He now has a girlfriend!) For all those torpes and nice guys out there, here are some things to ponder:

Nice guys, sometimes:

  • Want people to just like them for who they are now
  • Don't realize that their nice guy behavior is hurting their dating life, not to mention their career and social life
Assume that changing their behavior would be an insult to their personal values on 'being nice' to others
  • Are too afraid to be anything other than nice (i.e. flirtatious, challenging behavior around women), out of fear of being laughed at, punished or judged
  • Think that everyone else is wrong and people should just be nicer to each other
  • Don't want to admit to themselves that they need to change, because that would mean taking risks and changing.
  • Don't know where to start

So, where do you start and what is the quick solution? The solution is not to go from being a nice guy, to being a bad-boy who treats women badly. No. The fastest, most effective and longest-lasting solution is to go from being a nice guy to a good guy with EDGE. Now, chances are – you are already a good guy! Awesome, you're half-way there. The next steps are to develop the EDGE that women are attracted to. What is a good guy with edge? A good guy with edge is a nice guy (not like the nice guy outlined in Tip #1), who also demonstrates the personality traits and behaviors that women are attracted to. Things like:

  • Flirting.
  • Confidence.
  • Alpha male qualities.
  • Humor.

Would you say “Hi?”
Saturday, July 21, 2007

I have mentioned in my previous posts that Russell and I were products of cyberspace as we met in an
online dating website. I know that there are lots of free dating sites across the World Wide Web but most of these websites are charging its members some minimal fees in order to penetrate the community. The site where Russ and I met used to be a free online dating community but over the time, the site had to charge its members for premium membership. When I came across the JustSayHi community, I found out that it is absolutely free of charge to be a member. In fact, I even signed up for it and I am now a member! Aside from the possibility of meeting your ‘special someone’ here (just like me!!!), you could, of course build a friendly relationship with people of different age generations and ethnicity. Talk to them anytime that you want; anytime that you need. So, why don’t you try it and say “Hi” :)

Ikaw Pala
Saturday, June 23, 2007
I miss Russell again. He's busy now. His parents are in Utah to attend an international convention for their Rotary Club. But before that, they stayed in L.A. to visit some relatives and of course, to visit Russell. By this time, I know they are busy going to one place to another. Though they are really jet setter, this is their first time in U.S. The next time that they are going to extend another visit to US is by September. I hate this feeling but I know that for the mean time, I have to take the backseat. After all, hindi naman ibang tao ung kasama ni Russell. Magulang naman nya yon. So keri na rin. For the mean time, I would just watch this AVP over and over again that he made for me last Valentine's to ease the "neediness" that I am feeling right now.

HayyYY... I hope the 'Ber months will come real soon! :(
