I can't think of any decent title for this post so I'll just leave it with "...". For the longest time time in our relationship, it is only yesterday that I appreciated how loud Russelll would snore when he sleeps. I usually get irritated with it (who doesn't?). But yesterday was a different thing. Tuwang-tuwa ako habang pinagmamasdan ko syang matulog.
Last Tuesday was Nany Pene's (Rusell grandma-mother side) 4th death anniversary. I came home at around 7:30 from my graveyard. I dropped by at Caltex since he manned the store Monday night. We both came home at around 8:30 as he had to finish some reprots before going gome. We didn't doze off instantly as we fooled around with the utots and kulangots (as always). I think it's about 11:00 am when we finally fell asleep. We woke up at around 2pm. so all we had is just 3 hours of sleep. I needed to go to Metrobank as 2 of my credits are already due on that day. Metrobank's teller service is the worst service I have experience so far. (Read the post about it here.). We arrived at Metrobank Cavite City around 2:30 and left around 4:00. We initially thought that we will go home so that we would just go along with my in-laws. Ayaw ni Russell magdrive ng MB 100 van..mashado daw malaki. Unfortunately, Mama Luvie texted him that they are already on the cemetery. He had no other choice but to the drive the van all the way to the cemeteray. When we got there, we were welcomed with lotsa food. It was a "pigging out" celebration. We stayed there for only 2 hours and we went back home again to steal an hour of nap.
At around 8pm, he woke up because he had to take over Caltex's night shift. I didn't go with him (something that is very unusual) because I was really sleepy at that time. I just told him that I would join him around midnight. I though I'm gonna be awake for a longer period of time. But I am wrong. After 2 hours of manning the gas store, Russell fetched me home. Di ko kinaya ang puyat. He stayed there until 8am. In short, it was like a 12-hour shift. Mas grabe pa sa work ko because I only have 8 hours (with 1 hour break) work.
Anyway, we got home at around 8:30. As usual, kulitan blues pa rin. It was about 10am today when I suddenly felt hungry. I was craving for Jolllibee's nachos overload. Though Russell is too tired to go outside, he just phoned Caltex people and they had it delivered to our home. I was so happy. Talagang hindi nya ako pinapabayaan. I really feel pampered.
When the food arrived, I thought he is still awake. To my surprise, he is already snoring. I didn't bother waking him up since I know that he is too puyat. While I'm enjoying my nachos, I looked at his face, kiss the tip of his nose and brushed his hair with my fingers. Then I whispered "I love you...". I thought I woke up him as he looked at me in the eye. Pero naalimpungatan lang yata. He went back to sleep again. While looking at his face, I realized how lucky I am for marrying a guy like him. He didn't have to help their family business but he opted to do it. I adore him. I embrace all the flaws that he has. He is not perfect though. But he is too damn right for me.
We woke up late tonight, around 6:30 na. I took a bath first. Hindi ko na sya ginising because he seems to enjoy his good sleep. After taking a bath, that's the time that I told him "Asawa ko, gising na po...." I didn't want to go trhough all the details that happened at that time. One thing though, he acted as if I'm pregnant. He said "Oh dahan-dahan ka, baka mapano si baby!" to which I responded "Tukmol ka, ano yan..baby tae! Tae lang laman ng tyan ko oy!" LOL He just smiled. I can tell that his smile was something different. I know how much he wants to have a baby. I just told him though that we had to enjoy each other's company first before having a child.
Ahh... I don't know how to end this post. All I know is that I have married the right person at the right time for the right reason. Labels: Relationship, russell |

| Why? |
| Saturday, September 29, 2007 |
Russell and I just got into a fight. A fight that started with a joke. A joke that made me feel offended. Even though we are going to be married in 3 months time, it doesn't give him the license to tell me all those trashy things in this world. I still deserve to be respected. I am his wife. I am not his b!@tch.
Well, I want to believe that what Russell said is what really mad but as I lay in my bed, I realized that it's not really what he said. It's just an excuse, I guess. I am really not that sensitive. Could it be that I am under "red alert"? the gloomy weather? the Endless love series I just finished? Or could it be anxiety attack couple with being irritable? I don't know.
In 14 days, I'll finally see the moron I have been waiting for the past 19 months. Isn't this what I want? Isn't this what I am looking forward as every day goes by? I am afraid. The idea of getting married is now finally sinking into my cells-less brains. Sure, wedding preparations can be exciting and fun. But beyond that, I have so many fears now. So many worries to think about. I am not really that domesticated. I did not come from a rich family but I grew up with a house help so I never really had the chance to wash my own clothes, clean up all the clutters in my room and prepare any dishes. With that, I have so many questions in my mind. Will I make a good wife? Will I be able to take good care of him? Can I really wake up early in the morning to prepare all the things he need before going to work? Would I be able to cook all his favorite dishes? What if he ask me to stop doing things I really enjoy, will I be willing to compromise for the sake of being together? Do I need to make "pakisama" to his friends? What if in the long run (I am praying so hard that this will not happen-- i simply love 'em all) his family and I will be caught in a misunderstanding? In short, am i really ready to get married? What if we end up better with out each other?
I don't understand why I am feeling all these jitters. Am I a run-away-bride in the making? Paranoia?! Oh God...please bring back the sanity in me.

| BLANK |
| Saturday, August 18, 2007 |
I do apologize for not updating this blog for quite sometime. Actually, I got some drafted posts for this week. It's just I couldn't afford to have a coherent post. My thoughts are scattered. My time, attention and energy have been too much pre-occupied with so many things to do and few concerns to resolve. I can't even think of a more suitable title for this post so this is just gonna be treated as 'blank.'
Aside from the stress that I am getting from work, the petty quarrels that I have with Russell make me 'drain.' I will not disclose the issues we are dealing with because those are just 'kababawan.' People close to me know that I'd rather die than keep my issues within myself. I am a very vocal person. But over the time, I guess I have come into the maturity stage where I have realized that some things are better left unsaid, especially if saying the things I mean to say would just hurt the people that are dear to me. Russell and I are doing great now. I am so giddy with the fact that he has already scheduled his flight and he is bound to arrive in Manila, morning of October 15.
It is still raining. Though I feel more relaxed, I feel a little depressed. I am not deviant albeit. A lot of people are experiencing some sort of depression during rainy season. (EDIT: Sunlight produces MELANOCYTES which produces melantonin. Melatonin is anti-depressant daw. That is why a lot of people tend to be happy during summer despite of the scorching heat and people tend to be sad/depressed during rainy season because rain prevents sun from emitting melatonin. This is according to a radio program I listened to on my way to work last Friday.)
Blaming it to the gloomy weather, I'm going to Trinoma, (together with the rest of my family) to watch a movie. Most probably, Mudrax and I gonna watch A Love Story while the rest of the family members will watch a flick that has something to do with Penguin as requested by my loving nephew.
I know I ought to visit blogs that are listed in my blogroll. I will resume my blog hopping session when I get back tonight, pramis po.
Later alligator!

| I'm sick and I need some TLC... |
| Monday, July 23, 2007 |
It might be due to the "not-so-hectic" schedule that I had last week that made me sick today. Erika has been sick for a week so I had to take over her team. I am capable of handling a team of 25 people but 50+? Darn it! It's a real pain-in-the-ass. I am the ONLY one who can issue trouble tickets for systems issues, the ONLY one who can call our workforce for change queue during calibration and worst of all, I had to do the PAYROLL of these 50 people ALONE! Kamusta naman yon di ba?! Hello, I am a QA team lead, not Operations Coach or Payroll Master....arrrrgGgg!!!!
I need a break!!!!!!! I feel really burnt out.
I have terrible colds and severe headache. I also got slight fever. Oh God, how I wish Russell is here to take care of me. I remember when he was here, he would always take care of me whenever I feel sick. He would always bring me my favorite pasalubong- Chowking's siomai and buchi (babaw ng kaligayan!). If I am in Cavite, he would never leave even if I am asleep. He's always there by my side. I guess, these are some of the petty things I wish I wouldn't have to experience if only he's here.
I need some Russell-mwuahugs...
Sobrang bigat ng pakiramdam ko. I don't think I can make it later tonight. Mama cooked sinigang (na sabi ko gawing nuknukan ng asim kasi ala akong panlasa.)
I know I have said this in almost every post that I made and some of you might be getting tired of hearing this (pero kebs ko, blog ko naman 'to..nakikibasa ka lang eh...LOL), I really miss Russell. Everyday, every week...every moment seems to just pro long the agony. The agony of seeing Russell again, the sense of feeling that somebody is loving and taking good care of you... Masarap nga ang feeling ng in-love but sometimes, when things won't go according to how you want it to be, ang hirap dalhin...minsan kahit anong diskarte, sasablay at sasablay ka din...kahit ayaw mong maging senti at korni, lalabas ang totoo
hayYyYyYY :(

| Would you say “Hi?” |
| Saturday, July 21, 2007 |
I have mentioned in my previous posts that Russell and I were products of cyberspace as we met in an online dating website. I know that there are lots of free dating sites across the World Wide Web but most of these websites are charging its members some minimal fees in order to penetrate the community. The site where Russ and I met used to be a free online dating community but over the time, the site had to charge its members for premium membership. When I came across the JustSayHi community, I found out that it is absolutely free of charge to be a member. In fact, I even signed up for it and I am now a member! Aside from the possibility of meeting your ‘special someone’ here (just like me!!!), you could, of course build a friendly relationship with people of different age generations and ethnicity. Talk to them anytime that you want; anytime that you need. So, why don’t you try it and say “Hi” :)Labels: Relationship, russell, Sponsored Post |

| Just another lonely post... |
| Wednesday, July 18, 2007 |
By this time that I am composing this post, it's already 10am. At this hour, I should have been sleeping. I should been asleep as early as 8am to ensure that my energy will be rejuvenated for my daily 8pm-4am work shift. But I can't sleep...

Two Different World 500, 000 miles apart
Russell read the post that I had a couple of days ago. He sent me an email saying "Thank you. You've been sweet for the first time." Upon reading it, I was stunned. I didn't realize that I have been intensely cold to him. Looking back, I realized how unreceptive I am every time he would open up a topic or simply make a joke just to put a smile on my face. ***Sigh***
There are no best comforting words to say but "I am sorry baby."
Lately, I have been too much pre-occupied with work and other wedding related stuff. And I know, these things are consuming my time and energy that I sometimes tend to forget attending Russell's emotional needs. Sometimes, I would even get mad at him and accusing him of being insensitive of how I feel. At first, I intentionally did these things just to avoid the feeling of being ALONE and LONELY. The sense of being empty. Sometimes, I provoke arguments especially when I miss him. Maybe you can call it defense mechanism. Sometimes, things like these get into my head. I can't help buy cry and pity myself. The last time I saw Russell was March 28, 2006. That was the last time that I felt his tender lips; the last time that I felt his warm embrace; the last time I tried to hide my real feelings over the fact that he is going to leave me and that this time, it is going to be a freaking 17 months of waiting. Russell will be home October 2007. We need a lot of catching up. On December (the month of our wedding), I am going to be on leave for one month. If I have to get a prepaid SIM card to ensure that nobody will disturb us, I will. It's just gonna be Me, Russell and this crazy world. Nothing and no one can intervene. Kelangan ko bumawi kay Baby.
Sorry naman for this uber mushy post... I can't help it. I think I'm gonna explode if I am not able to say this. HayYyyY...how I wish it's already the 'BER months.Labels: Relationship, Russell and Thet |

| Meet my Other Half |
| Tuesday, July 17, 2007 |
For a while, I have been posting some wedding related stuff. There were quite a few who were anxious enough to ask me "Who is the (un)lucky guy?" so here he goes...
Name: Russell Hernandez Birthday: December 3, 197* Height: 5"8 Hair: Brown Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius College: De La Salle University, CLA
In a nutshell, we met through a dating website 6 years ago. I was trying to mend a broken heart (that has been going one for a year and a half already during that time). Russell, on the other hand, has just been on a recent break up (though he divulged that information months after we officially became "WE"). He was (and still) in L.A and I was a senior business major student. At first, I didn't take our relationship seriously. I just thought that it would be just for the "meantime" relationship. I am bored anyways so might as well try something new and exciting. I was afraid to fall in love again back then. After the earth-shattering heartbreak that I had with my first boyfriend over some stupid-freaking reason(who was also from U.P), I wasn't sure if I am ready to be in a commitment, to be in a serious relationship. I never thought that this "meantime boy" will change my life forever.
While most people believe that there are lotsa-lotsa jerks out there in the cyberspace (which by the way, I wont dare to refute), I took the risk of investing so much effort, time and emotions in our 5-year-course relationship. I am not sure. Maybe you call it instinct, maybe serendipity. What ever one might call it, I don't care. All I care about is that in spite of my shortcomings, Russell still loves me. I have shown him the worst of me. I have this policy that "If you can't accept me at my WORST, you don't deserve me at my BEST." Luckily, he embraced all my imperfections.
One of Russell's goofing moments...hehehe cute-cute pa din noh?! Russell brings out the best in me. Before, I hate waiting (well, I still am...LOL). But who can say that I have not been patient enough with 5 years of long distance relationship? For the longest time, I would be just contented with his yearly vacation. Vacations that are actually too short to make up for the lost times.
When I tell people that I met my fiancé through a dating website and that we have been surviving a long distance relationship, only one reaction would register to their face-- Is that for real? Oh yeah, I am telling you baby that we are for real. But hey, I don't say that being into this kind of relationship would always be a bed of roses.
Sure, there will lots of fights, arguments and misunderstanding. We experienced (and still experiencing those). There were times that I wanna give up. But when I find myself in solitude, I can't help but miss him...wish that we were never apart. Sometimes, I wish that L.A is just a Cavite_Q.C route where we could get to see each other from time to time. hayYyYyyyy... 3 months still seems forever for me.
Does this poster looks familiar to you? Hehehehehe!---One of Russell's playful creations. This is the image that will welcome you when you visit our wedding website. I guess, there isn't really any formula in finding the "right one". If it's time, destiny will just knock on your door. You don't have to look for it.
To my baby, thanks for making me realize that life is indeed beautiful. That in every storm, there is a rainbow that will make me realize that good things will always be there out of bad days. Thank you for making me feel how wonderful it is how to love and to be loved. I'm running out of words to say how grateful I am to God for having you in my life. I guess, a simple THANK YOU will say it all. I may not the perfect wife that you would expect but I promise I'll do my best. See you soon baby! :)Labels: All About Russell, Relationship |
